Under U.S. law, hemp can be grown only for research, with a permit from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Enforcement Administration said.

The Drug Enforcement Administration continues to cling to an ignorant policy that has proven to be a failure since its conception. Marijuana will remain a Schedule l controlled substance, which declares it has “no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse,” the Drug Enforcement Administration said.

Liberty and Justice for all!? Disturbingly, there is a movement spreading around some of our universities and elsewhere to promote having a “Freedom from Speech,” otherwise known as a freedom from having your feelings hurt by “insensitive” speech. This has resulted in so-called “safety zones” in which people are shielded from discomforting thoughts.

While cannabis legalization for recreational and medical use continues to happen in the USA, its citizens have found that they can purchase many alternatives from baked goods, drinks to concentrates. Meanwhile here in Canada an approved medical user can only smoke, vaporize or use it in food but only in its natural state, plant material.

Hemp prohibition is on our front cover. It’s written about in newspapers, blogs and it’s all over social media. Now people are voting about it. The “It” is the ending of cannabis prohibition. Cannabis advocates for years have been saying that cannabis prohibition is more harmful to society than the plant itself and for me I think we’re now seeing the results of years of hard work.
