In my last editorial about cannabis social use, I touched on the benefits that cannabis can bring to our health care dollars. This was done with a report that I used as my Editorial Pick where it showed that the top healthiest cities in the USA have medical cannabis laws within their state. Meanwhile the unhealthiest ones have no medical cannabis program at all. This month I’ve chosen an article called “A Sociological Analysis of Cannabis Legalization in Canada” which touches on the effects of cannabis prohibition here in Canada but could be used to reflect any society not just Canada’s.

I got involved in the Hemp Movement in 1990 when I was hired by Jack Herer to run hiss office. I launched the cable television series ‘TIME 4 HEMP’ on January 5, 1991. Time 4 Hemp is the first TV series in the history of broadcasting to focus strictly on the topic of cannabis. This has given me the dubious honor of being ‘The Father Of Marijuana Television’.
