It’s Fun To Grow
Time 4 BIG changes in our SMALL cannabis publication.

What’s a statue doing on the front cover of a cannabis publication? Yes I agree it seems odd until you know the history behind it, especially if its cannabis related. This statue was erected for Louis Pasteur who was a French chemist and microbiologist. He is best known to the general public for a process named after him for treating milk and wine to stop bacterial contamination, a process we know as pasteurization. What’s pasteurization and Louis have to do with cannabis and can this process even be used with cannabis? Was Louis a cannabis consumer?
I’m not aware of any pasteurization for cannabis and I have no clue if Louis was a consumer but I do know that Louis, as a statue had many cannabis consuming visitors. You see Louis, the statue is on record as being the original meeting spot of the Waldo’s, the brothers behind the phrase and the code word for cannabis, known today as 420.This month I have picked an article for my Ed’s pick that outlines the origin of the 420. It’s a history lesson that talks about where it all started to what it has become today with its global celebrations.
